about taylor champoux

Illustrator and educator Taylor Champoux is based near Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her work often draws inspiration from a love of reading, light and color, magical realism, and the natural world. Most of her childhood was spent in the library’s teen fiction section looking for any kind of fantasy-related book she could lay hands on, and she continues to frequent the library to this day. She works primarily in traditional mixed media with watercolor, gouache, cut paper, and colored pencil.

An avid cyclist, runner, baker, and wanderer, Taylor loves being on an adventure somewhere, or simply curled up on the sofa with a good book (when she isn’t trying to convince high school students to make some cool art or travel the world by bicycle).
